A quick catch up...

We have enjoyed the past couple of weekends in Boone and are about to head out the door to spend most of the week at Lake Jocassee with the Putnams, but I thought I'd post a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.  I'll start you off with one from last night...Ruby learning how to ride a scooter.

The 12

This past weekend I was able to spend some time with many of my college friends from Clemson.  It was so refreshing to be around people that know me so well and just enjoy spending time catching up and hanging out. Our days began a little earlier now that we have some kiddos in the mix, but that meant more time with one another.  We enjoyed sitting by the lake, going for walks, and sharing meals.  It was such a joy to be together and for our babies to meet.  I am grateful for this wonderful group of ladies who mean so much to me!

Adelaide was so sweet and loved having the "bay bay" or "Ru Ru" in her "yap". So sweet.

West Virginia

A couple weeks ago we made a trip to West Virginia to see family and watch my cousins' girls in their Swan Lake dance recital.  We had such a wonderful time visiting with family and are grateful to be a little closer to them now that we live in Boone. Here is a recap of our weekend in photos:

May Days

During May we enjoyed having some visitors, celebrated our 4th anniversary, said farewell to Tim's home town of Hartsville, and spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake.

My parents came up for the day when the Gilliams were in SC visiting from Texas.  We spent the day together walking around town and enjoying lunch and dessert from Kilwins in Blowing Rock.  It was wonderful getting to see them and catch up.

For our anniversary we had a delicious lunch at a place in Blowing Rock called the Best Cellar.  That night we had a picnic for Tim's work then went and enjoyed dessert while AA babysat little Ruby.  That weekend, we went out to Valle Crucis park to have a picnic and were pleasantly surprised that they were having live music that afternoon.

Last weekend we made a trip to Hartsville for Tim and his brother's to say so long to their childhood home and go through some of their old stuff.  Then, on Saturday we headed to Kings Mountain to enjoy the rest of Memorial Day weekend.  It was Ruby's first time in the lake and she seemed to be okay with it.

We are starting June here in West Virginia visiting my aunt and cousins.  Later today we get to see their big performance of Swan Lake and cousin Kristen has made Ruby a special outfit...can't wait to see it. =)

On May 16th Ruby turned 3 months old... here are the pictures from her "photo shoot". Enjoy. =)

Thumbs up for the photo shoot to begin

Although I'm not quite sure about these things on my feet

But I'll smile for you anyway

How about no shoes

What's that you say?

Are we almost finished here?

One last grin.
